My Mother’s Gold Earrings

I remember many years ago I was an inexperienced and fearful air traveler. I was flying across country and we ran into turbulence. The airplane and I were bouncing around and I was very nervous. My source of hope and comfort came from the pair of gold hoop earrings I was wearing. They had belonged to my mother and I told myself that I was safe because my mother would be looking after me through her spirit that remained within those earrings. I guess I was right about that because we landed safely. Thanks Mom.
